P-BAA is a new, hip, and edgy association dedicated to promoting the sport of pickle ball across America. As the Communications Director, you will be responsible for leading the development and execution of the organization's communications strategy to build a strong brand and grow its audience.

About the Role

The Pickleball Association of America (P-BAA) is seeking a talented and experienced HR Director to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of HR, including recruitment, employee relations, compliance, and training. As the HR Director, you will play a vital role in ensuring that P-BAA has the talent and resources needed to achieve its goals, and that employees feel supported, valued, and engaged.

Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement HR strategies that align with P-BAA's overall goals and objectives.
• Manage all aspects of the recruitment process, including posting job openings, screening resumes, conducting interviews, and extending job offers.
• Develop and maintain job descriptions for all positions within the organization.
• Develop and implement policies and procedures related to HR, ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
• Support the onboarding process for new employees, including conducting orientations and ensuring that all necessary paperwork is completed.
• Manage employee relations issues, including conducting investigations and providing guidance to managers and employees.
• Manage performance management processes, including goal setting, performance evaluations, and performance improvement plans.
• Develop and deliver training programs for employees, ensuring that employees have the skills and knowledge needed to perform their jobs effectively.
• Manage employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other benefits.
• Maintain accurate employee records and ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field; master’s degree preferred.

  • 7+ years of experience in HR, with at least 3 years in a leadership role

  • Knowledge of HR laws and regulations, including FMLA, ADA, and FLSA

  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.

  • Experience with HRIS and other HR-related software is a plus.

The HR Director will report directly to the Chief Operating Officer and work closely with the P-BAA team to ensure that the organization has the talent and resources needed to achieve its goals.
